Lead a virtual-first, hand-picked clinical team that is highly engaged and accessible Enjoy a rewarding work/life balanceWe’re looking for a Family Medicine Physician with a passion for developing strong patient relationships, who has the desire to work outside the traditional broken healthcare system.We are actively seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to provide virtual primary care services. This full-time remote opportunity offers a guaranteed schedule of 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday, no evenings, no weekends, no calls and no after-hours charting. Our Primary Care Physicians practice medicine free from the volume-based pressures and metrics of fee-for-service billing, gaining more time with patients means improved compliance, better care coordination, healthier patients, and happier providers! Essential Job Functions
  • Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients in order to meet their needs
  • Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients
  • Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs
  • Determines the level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments
  • Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care
  • Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
  • Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services
  • Documents all services in the patient medical records in eCWReviews on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attention
  • Consults with the Physician Lead, Director of Medicine, and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and educational issues
  • Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by Health by Design
  • Assists as needed in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients
  • Assists in the development, production, and presentation of medical education, material, lectures, and mixed media presentations for patient and medical staff
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited United States School of Medicine; MD or DO
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible required (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine)
  • Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine is highly desired
  • Current Interstate Medical Licensure Compact preferred
  • Current license in the state of practice ( Texas or Kentucky) or willing to become licensed
  • Current DEA Certificate BLS - Basic Life Support Certification
