Job Summary
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Red 6, you will play a crucial role in the development of our next-generation augmented reality systems. You will play an integral part in the electrical hardware development lifecycle from requirements to design, test, and integration. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also work to continuously improve efficiency and quality of output through implementation and evolution of industry-leading design processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating, and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems.
Oversee all aspects of the electrical hardware development lifecycle from requirements to design, test, integration and manufacturing.
Evaluates various design approaches and uses data-based methodical methods to down-select to plan-of-record design directions.
Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
May use high level programming language to configure programmable logic devices
Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results
Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
Able to identify component operational characteristics that may impact system performance and or sustainability
Contribute to proposals and estimates of budget and schedule to meet program objectives.
Experience, Skills and Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or directly related field
5 to 8 years of prior relevant experience
Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Experience with high-speed memories such as DDR3/DDR4 and high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe 3.0/4.0, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, Ethernet
Experience with FPGAs, SoCs, firmware, and embedded software development.
Familiarity with standard lab equipment – oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers
Altium experience would be a PLUS
Should have experience with military standards and hardware qualification processes such as EMI, thermal, vibration, etc.

Qualified candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship
Salary: $140,000 to $170,000, depending on experience
