Full Stack Engineer at Secured Communications

We're looking for people who are independent, self-motivated, and driven by the impact they can have on our users. For this role, we're seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help build the safest communications platform on the planet.

Our Product

Our task is to build a communication and collaboration platform solving for the somewhat opposing goals of (1) providing corporate and other teams increased productivity and (2) ensuring communication remains secure and private. We achieve this going a step beyond E2EE since group colloboration requires end to ends encryption. And, with that as our foundation, we're building some world class productivity tools on top of it.

About Secured Communications

We're a people-first company. We take care to ensure everyone who joins our team is awesome to work with, loves what he/she/ze does, contributes to our mission, and enjoys his/her/zir time with us.

We're a global SaaS company offering communication and productivity applications tailored for---but not limited to--specialized, highly secure, regulated markets, e.g. law enforcement, counter-terrorism, healthcare, finance, etc. Our full team is entirely remote with members in Australia, the UK, both coasts of the U.S., Montana, Georgia, and Texas.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will:

  • Take on various engineering, design, QA, and support-related tasks spanning the full range of our tech stack,
  • Contribute to the ongoing design, maintenance, and iteration/evolution of the platform,
  • Collaborate on and contribute to product design and system architecture as the platform evolves with our users, with the state-of-the-art, and with our vision, and
  • Take initiative to define and prioritize your tasks in accordance with our shared goals and vision.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, and
  • 1+ years of engineering work experience.
  • Experience developing highly performant code in Javascript
  • A disciplined approach to development, testing, documentation and code structure
  • Rock solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms and programming languages
  • Comfort working and collaborating with remote teams
  • Good feel for UI/UX
  • Some workday overlap with America/New_York

  • Experience meeting and conforming to compliance standards: HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC-2, ISO 27001, FIPS-140, etc
  • Passion for cryptography and security
  • Experience with Swift and/or Kotlin
  • DevOps experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and AWS

The Good Stuff

As we're still a new-ish company, we're still working on the perks. As of now, you get:

  • Unlimited time off (within reason),
  • Health insurance reimbursement,
  • Regular virtual get-togethers
