The Director of Learning and Development (L&D) will utilize their experience in instructional design, training delivery, consulting, and project/program management to design a company-wide strategy for addressing employee and customer/partner learning needs. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in helping to create, implement, maintain, and grow our Learning and Development function across the company. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success and will be instrumental in empowering our teams to fully embrace Findhelp's core values, mission, vision, purpose, and individual ownership model to own and drive their development. As part of the People Operations team, this role will collaborate with teammates and leaders at all levels, Business Partners, and key stakeholders across the company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement a company-wide L&D strategy aligned with business goals and talent development needs
- Lead onboarding, skills development, and ongoing professional development programs.
- Partner with People Operations, department leadership, and the executive team to assess skill gaps and build scalable learning interventions.
- Implement and maintain learning technologies (ex: LMS, LinkedIn Learning) and measure learning impacts with clear KPIs.
- Effectively create, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for development materials, including but not limited to job aids, quick reference guides, tools, resources, workshops, and programs.
- Develop, implement, and facilitate high-impact development workshops and programs to build strong capabilities of teammates and leaders throughout the organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth across departments.
- Build and scale customer education programs to improve onboarding, product adoption, and retention.
- Design partner enablement programs that drive engagement, capability, and performance using the Findhelp platform.
- Oversee the development of certifications, webinars, documentation, video tutorials, and other educational content.
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align educational materials with product roadmaps and customer needs.
- Leverage data and feedback to iterate on learning experiences and optimize user outcomes.
- Lead a small team of learning and development specialists to achieve goals.
- Perform special projects as needed and complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources, Leadership Development/Management, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred (may consider equivalent work experience).
- 8+ years’ experience in Learning & Development roles, including at least 3 in a leadership role.8+ years’ experience in implementing and utilizing strong project and program management skills to implement plans and use tools effectively.
- Proven success designing L&D strategies for both internal and external stakeholders (customers/partners)Experience in a SaaS or technology company strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current instructional design, adult learning theory, and learning technologies (ex. LMS, content authoring tools), and industry trends, tools, and techniques.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, project leadership, and consultative skills.
- Exceptional verbal and presentation communication skills with audiences at all levels.
- Experience in utilizing a variety of instructional design and facilitation techniques or formats that enhance the learning process and tie back to adult learning theory.
- Direct management experience with a team of learning & development specialists.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
- Ability to operate through ambiguity across multiple priorities and know when and where to escalate complex issues for final resolution.
- Obtained industry facilitation and debrief certifications such as DDI, Franklin Covey, CCL, Vital Smarts, CliftonStrengths, DISC, SDI Core Strengths, MBTI, etc. a plus.
- ATD, SHRM, or other industry experience and/or certifications a plus.
