The Opportunity
We are building a next-generation platform that enables enterprises to design, deploy, and manage AI agents and intelligent workflows at scale. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be at the core of this mission — architecting and building the foundational infrastructure, APIs, data pipelines, and agentic systems that power the Autonomize Health platform. You will work across the full stack, from cloud infrastructure to frontend, and play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare AI.
What You'll Do
- Architect, develop, and test scalable and resilient platform components including UI, middleware, backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
- Design and build production-grade agentic AI systems — including multi-agent orchestration, tool use, and autonomous workflow execution
- Develop and maintain LLM-powered pipelines integrating retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), memory systems, and external tool integrations
- Own the containerization and orchestration of services using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and product needs into well-defined, actionable engineering requirements
- Drive code quality through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring of junior engineers
- Experiment rapidly, iterate, and deliver — this is a hands-on role with high ownership
You're a Fit If You Have
- 5+ years of experience building web applications and platform services from scratch
- Strong proficiency in Python (required) — primary language for AI/ML and backend services
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and Node.js
- Hands-on experience designing and building agentic AI systems, including multi-agent orchestration, tool/function calling, and autonomous workflows
- Proficiency with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of LLM integration — prompt engineering, function calling, OpenAI APIs, and model deployment
- Strong grasp of Microservices architecture and distributed systems design
- Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar
- Kubernetes expertise — designing, deploying, and managing containerized workloads in production (must-have)
- Experience with Docker and containerization best practices
- Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud — AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience integrating and deploying ML/DL models into production systems
- Familiarity with Agile/rapid development processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with a remote/global team
Bonus Points
- Experience with RAG pipelines and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Chroma)
- Familiarity with agent observability and evaluation tooling (e.g., LangSmith, Langfuse, Helicone)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Prefect, Airflow, or Temporal in AI pipeline contexts
- Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch (ELK), or Graph DBs (Neo4j, TigerGraph, etc.)
- Experience with messaging and streaming systems — Kafka, ActiveMQ, or Redis
- Familiarity with visualization libraries such as D3.js
- Experience leading a team of developers — driving quality through mentoring, direction, and code reviews
- Background working in healthcare tech or regulated industries
- Experience with AI-assisted test-driven development (TDD) — using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or custom LLM tooling) to accelerate test generation, code review, and quality assurance in a safe and reliable way
