 Principal Healthcare Data Analyst
 
This is a full time role and is open to fully remote work.
 
 Overview
 We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Healthcare Data Analyst to join our dynamic healthcare data team. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven professional with deep expertise in healthcare informatics, advanced analytics, and complex data management. This position is available for fully remote work.

 This role will be key to empowering everyone to understand their healthcare record, to be healthier and to make the best healthcare decisions.
 
 Key Responsibilities: 
 
 Data Analysis and Integration 
Perform advanced data analysis using Databricks, LLMs and other data tools, extracting and transforming complex healthcare datasets
Compare, reconcile data across multiple sources, including Databricks, Patient Portals, Payer Portals, and other healthcare information systems
Develop sophisticated data slicing and dicing techniques to uncover meaningful insights
Rule Definition and Implementation
Design and implement complex data rules and logic within the Databricks environment
Create comprehensive documentation of data rules and transformation processes for implementation by the Data Intelligence Layer team
Develop clear, reproducible methodologies for data validation and verification
Healthcare Workflow Analysis
Analyze and map complex healthcare workflows
Identify data patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement
Translate clinical data into actionable insights
Healthcare Data Quality Analysis
Create and implement a data quality framework for evaluating quality of healthcare data
Required Qualifications:
7+ years experience as a data analyst in a health system, hospital, health payor or health technology company working directly with patient clinical records
5+ year experience in using SQL (or equivalent) to analyze clinical data
5+ year experience with clinical terminology (ICD10, RxNorm, CPT, LOINC, SnoMed etc)
5+ year experience in defining and running processes for clinical data quality improvements
Deep understanding of healthcare workflows across multiple care settings (acute, ambulatory, long-term care, etc.)
Deep knowledge of healthcare data types: clinical notes, lab results, imaging, medications, vital signs, claims data
Nice to Have:
Experience with Databricks
Experience with FHIR
Experience with data quality frameworks
Experience with clinical care quality
Experience with Python
The target salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
