STATION Northwest Arkansas (NWA), reporting to Executive Director

Full-time, in office

The Mentor Coordinator at STATION NWA is responsible for creating exceptional experiences for founders, mentors, partners, and high-profile guests — while keeping the physical space and operational systems running smoothly behind the scenes.

Reporting to the STATION NWA Executive Director, this role is part of a team executing events, building community, and supporting innovators across Northwest Arkansas. You’ll operate at the intersection of operations, relationship management, and hospitality, ensuring that the right people meet at the right time, and that the environment supports great work.

This role is ideal for someone who loves being the connective tissue of an organization: coordinating details, anticipating needs, and making complex experiences feel effortless for everyone involved.

What you will do…

  • Make high-impact connections between startup founders, mentors, investors, customers, and partners.
  • Serve as the central coordinator for mentor engagement, including onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing participation.
  • Act as the point person for day-to-day operations, including any event space readiness, maintenance, supplies, vendor coordination, and issue escalation.
  • Maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and operational systems that keep the team running smoothly.
  • Support event needs in collaboration with the broader team.

You'll know you're successful if....

  • Founders, mentors, and partners consistently form meaningful, high-value connections.
  • Mentors are engaged, well-coordinated, and actively participating across programs and events.
  • Events and programs are well supported and executed without friction.
  • Operational systems improve over time, making the team more efficient and effective.
  • 100% of new members meet at least 3 relevant people in their first month.
  • 100% of mentors, members, and sponsors log at least 3 successful, high-value connections or outcomes per quarter.
  • 100% of inbound partnership/member/event inquiries responded to within 24 hours.
  • 100% of customer service tickets are resolved in <24 hours.
  • Membership retention >90% going into 2027.
  • Sponsorship retention >90% going into 2027.
  • >50 mentors doing monthly office hours as we go into 2026 and >90% mentor retention.
  • >55% of new members and sponsors are sourced via direct referrals.
  • You propose and execute at least one new ops or experience improvement per quarter.

About you…

  • You are a connector - you know how to engineer serendipity through priceless introductions.
  • You have a passion for entrepreneurship and helping founders succeed.
  • You are outgoing and can talk to just about anyone.
  • You are a documentor. You make lists and spreadsheets.
  • You are a problem solver. You look for ways to make things work better and how to turn chaos into systems.
  • You are organized and plan ahead, but you don’t get stressed out when things change at the last minute… because they will. You roll with it.
  • You check your email in the evenings and are available to work during evening events and over the weekends when there is a tight deadline. You do what it takes to get the job done.
  • You have a reliable laptop computer & smartphone that you are comfortable using for work.
  • You plan to stay in Arkansas for at least two years.

About our team...

  • We have a passion for startups and technology.
  • We are transparent and we over-communicate.
  • We have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • We communicate when we are not able to meet a deadline and suggest a solution.
  • We are professional and presentable and greet everyone cheerfully. We’re ready to deal with an immature student, a pushy salesperson, top VC’s, a fortune 500 CEO, and even the President of the United States.
  • We are excited to work in Northwest Arkansas and have reliable transportation.
  • We have a quiet place where we can work remotely with fast internet.
  • We are security aware. We have a passcode on our computers and phones and use a password manager.

  • We are available to work during SXSW (Spring Break), Fed Supernova, Health Supernova, Made in America Summit, DREAMCON (one week long staff summits twice a year), and Austin Tech Week.
  • We get to Inbox Zero every day.
  • $65,000 annual salary
  • 4 weeks paid time off (one week is allocated between Christmas and New Years)

  • Additional benefits such as 401k program (50% company matching), life insurance, short & long term disability and and employee assistance program
  • Parental leave including 10 weeks paid leave for birthing parents and 4 weeks paid leave for non-birthing parents
  • $1,000 personal innovation budget on your first year anniversary and then an additional $500 each anniversary thereafter
  • A priceless network
