The Role:

As a Senior Account Executive, Software at Cart.com, you will be a key driver of our growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities. You will work closely with the VP of Sales and other cross-functional teams to sell our suite of software solutions to high-potential clients. This role will require you to leverage your deep knowledge of software sales, including solution selling and account management, to build lasting relationships with clients and achieve sales targets.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include prospecting new leads, conducting product demos, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of software products, a proven track record in exceeding sales targets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including lead generation, product demos, and contract negotiation.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor on software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure client success.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, manage the sales pipeline, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to position our products effectively.
  • Present software solutions in a compelling way, addressing client needs and demonstrating the value of our offerings.
  • Negotiate and close complex deals with senior-level decision-makers.
  • Provide regular feedback to product and marketing teams based on customer needs and market insights.

Who You Are:

  • You have a proven track record in software sales, with experience in solution selling and account management.
  • You possess strong negotiation skills and have a history of closing complex deals.
  • You have advanced knowledge of CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • You are highly motivated and driven by exceeding sales targets.
  • You excel at building and maintaining relationships with senior-level decision-makers.
  • You have excellent presentation skills and can effectively communicate the value of complex software solutions.
  • You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You are a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • You are a collaborative team player who works well with cross-functional teams.

What You’ve Done:

  • You have 7+ years of experience in software sales, specifically in Order Management and/or Warehouse Management software, with a focus on selling enterprise solutions in an early-stage business.
  • Experience working in the e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain industries.
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • You have a proven history of meeting and exceeding sales targets in an early-stage high-growth business environment.
  • You have experience managing large, complex accounts and closing high-value deals.
  • You are proficient in using CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot to manage sales pipelines and track performance.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with SaaS or subscription-based software sales.
  • Experience in a pre-IPO or fast-growth tech company.
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
