The Role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and fabrication. Five to seven years of maintenance experience of industrial equipment: including mechanical equipment, electrical hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, and controls, and plumbing with the ability to operate power tools and maintenance equipment is a requirement. PLC experience and understanding of highly automated material handling equipment is a plus.
What You’ll Do:
Understand and maintain sites safety processes and procedures program and OSHA requirements.
Ability to understand and repair material handling equipment including automated retrieval equipment, unit sorter and conveyor. Ability to prover good analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Responsible for minor repairs, assisting in facility maintenance including but not limited to, janitorial, lighting, and general duties or others as needed or directed.
Cleaning and other Preventative Maintenance tasks for equipment including conveyor systems.
Repair of conveyor belts, motors, rollers, beds, and guides.
Must be willing and able to become certified on powered industrial equipment.
Working at heights of 40ft or more is a requirement.
Have a general knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the facility.
Experienced and/or certified in industrial electrical repair and installation of control circuits, E-stops controls, minor electrical installation of 24v and 120v wiring and controls.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical wiring schematics, and layout drawings.
Working co-operatively with other maintenance mechanics, maintenance manager, and director of engineering, operations managers, and employees to keep equipment running for 7-day operation.
Assists with maintaining and improving maintenance workshop area, inventory of company supplied tools, parts inventory, PM system and general facility maintenance.
Ability to conduct detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
Support continuous operation by adjusting, calibrating, repairing, replacing, or modifying system components for an e-commerce-focused automated warehouse.
Perform inspections on systems associated with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, Automated Lifts, Mini loads, unit sorters, and conveyors.
Process and monitor the flow of the automated storage and retrieval system and proactively work to solve issues to achieve maximum throughput and totes per hour.
Troubleshoot and resolve automated system anomalies and stoppages using schematic and wiring diagrams.
Effective communication of production-impacting problems and suggested actions, including approximate time required for corrective and emergency maintenance to required team members.
Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and change course based on immediate business needs.
Responsible for cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs are complete. Maintain work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
Must demonstrate flexibility in working hours and be prepared to provide support during peak season, as requested by management.
Work various shifts and/or hours as needed to support the facility’s needs.
Overtime/Weekends/Holidays as needed or directed.
Other duties as instructed by supervision/management.

Safely utilize manual and electronic operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying
High school graduate
Valid current Driver’s License
Able to manage heavy lifting.
What You’ve Done:
5-7 years’ experience in the maintenance of industrial equipment: including mechanical equipment, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits, and controls with the ability to operate power tools and maintenance equipment.
Associate degree and/ or certification in electronics, automation, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 1 year of experience with warehouse automation systems, educational or training equivalent.
Must be able to operate and run Automated systems.
Troubleshooting skills and ability to follow electro-mechanical diagrams.
Nice to Haves:
PLC experience and understanding of highly automated material handling equipment.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Able to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.).
Able to lift and carry up to 25-30 labs on occasion (document boxes, files, binders, and other items
Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
Sometimes working in extreme temperatures
Able to work overtime.
Infrequent/Occasional exposure to adverse conditions such as dust, noise, fumes, weather, poor lighting, or heavy machinery/equipment
