Onsite:
This position is open to applicants or individuals who are located in or around Houston,Tx and able to work onsite at our Houston Headquarter office.
The Role:
The Data & Analytics Intern will support analytics initiatives by owning a defined, project-based body of work focused on transforming operational and commercial data into actionable business insights.
This internship is designed for a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field and provides hands-on experience applying analytical methods to real-world commerce and fulfillment challenges.
Internship Objective & Focus:
During the internship, the intern will partner with business and analytics leaders to complete a scoped analytics project that delivers a tangible outcome for the organization.
Example project areas may include:
Developing dashboards that improve visibility into operational or commercial performance
Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, cost drivers, or efficiency opportunities
Automating or improving manual reporting processes
Producing data-driven recommendations to support decision-making
What You’ll Do:
Own and execute a defined analytics project from discovery through final delivery
Collect, clean, and analyze structured datasets using SQL and analytical tools
Build visualizations or dashboards that communicate insights clearly
Translate analytical findings into business recommendations
Present outcomes and insights to stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship
Collaborate with cross-functional partners while receiving mentorship from senior team members.
Learning Exposure:
The intern will:
Gain exposure to real-world data environments within commerce and fulfillment operations
Receive regular coaching and feedback from an assigned mentor
Develop experience communicating technical insights to business stakeholders
What will help you Succeed in This Internship:
Knowledge (Academic Foundation): Understanding gained through coursework or academic projects related to data and analytics.
Foundational knowledge of data analytics, statistics, or quantitative analysis concepts
Understanding of data structures, datasets, and basic analytical methodologies
Exposure to business intelligence or data visualization principles
Coursework in data analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related field
Familiarity with concepts such as data cleaning, trend analysis, or performance measurement
Skills (Applied Tools & Techniques): Practical tools or technical capabilities the intern can apply with guidance.
Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data
Experience using Excel or similar tools for data organization and analysis
Exposure to data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
Basic experience with Python or R preferred but not required
Ability to interpret datasets and summarize findings clearly

Internship Structure:
Duration: 12 weeks
Schedule: Part Time Hours (20 hours or less per week) - March-May CPT (semester)
End- of- Internship Deliverable:
As part of the internship experience, the Data & Analytics Intern will complete a defined analytics project that applies academic learning to a real business challenge under the guidance of experienced team members.
The final deliverable may include:
Development of a dashboard, analytical model, or reporting solution
Documentation of analytical findings and data-driven recommendations
Identification of process improvements or automation opportunities
A final presentation summarizing methodology, insights, and key learnings
The objective is to provide hands-on applied learning while producing work that can be leveraged by the business beyond the internship period.
For internship roles, throughout the duration of the set internship period only, candidates may be eligible to work under existing student-authorized employment programs (such as CPT or OPT) where applicable.
