Role Overview:

Support the local Enterprise Network Infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance. This role focuses on configuring systems, assisting in network implementations, and maintaining/upgrading existing systems under the guidance of senior network engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in configuring network systems, managing installations, and enforcing system standards.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Network Engineers/Architects to implement new solutions and enhance network resilience.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and schedule necessary upgrades.
  • Administer firewall environments following IT security policies.
  • Participate in network projects and initiatives, managing tasks as assigned.
  • Provide escalation support for a 24x7x365 operation center.
  • Assist in upgrading network equipment to the latest stable firmware.
  • Configure routing, switching equipment, hosted IP voice services, mobile gateways, and firewalls.
  • Run network cabling and manage network hardware configurations/installations.
  • Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers.
  • Conduct on-site network assessments as needed.
  • Occasional travel, off-hours, and on-call work may be required.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in network administration within Enterprise Network Environments or equivalent industry experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Cradlepoint/Netcloud.
  • Basic knowledge of Network Security Principles and Security best practices.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, IP Addressing, NAT, VLANs, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with VPNs, Next Generation Firewalls, and network security concepts.
  • Resourceful self-starter with the ability to adapt and solve challenges.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Ubiquiti/Unifi Systems and/or other similar hardware.
  • Familiarity with MDMs, RADIUS, DNS, and Linux environments.
  • Experience with LTE Failover configurations and knowledge of RF (LTE/5G/5G Technologies).
  • Relevant certifications (PCNSA, CCNA, Net+, Security+).
  • Experience in a start-up environment.
