The Field Application Engineer will be responsible for providing support and guidance in implementing and troubleshooting autonomous delivery robots. Leading the installation and maintenance activities, you will ensure safe and compliant installations. You will be the onsite expert, continually developing your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative solutions. As a field application engineer, you may be asked to travel 50% of the time (traveling needs vary) and work hours are dependent on the site needs. When not traveling you will use the knowledge that you have gained onsite to improve procedures and develop new solutions. You will report directly to the Field Applications Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross functionally with engineering to support the implementation process.
- Perform installations, training and validations for new robots or expansions.
- Provide feedback from customers and act as customer advocate.
- Assist with or write documentation to enhance technical training, user guides, procedures, and technical manuals.
- Proactively provide feedback to the organization on product performance with suggestions for product improvements and new product development.
- Provide on-call support before and/or after hours as required by the organization.
- Provide ongoing technical and customer service assistance and/or confirm that the customer has properly received resolution.
- Perform network and site surveys alongside the growth team in support of potential or signed contracts.
- Assist the platform engineering team in creating new integrations used for Moxi location tracking
Skills and Experience:
- You have an Engineering or Computer Science degree or demonstrate equivalent, relevant professional work experience.
- You have hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
- Coding experience is a plus
- You have the ability to interact and communicate positively and effectively with customers.
- You have a basic understanding of hardware/software installations and repairs in order to support both application and technical support.
- You can demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude.
- You have proven software/hardware troubleshooting skills
- You can handle multiple tasks at the same time that require minimal supervision and can prioritize tasks accordingly.
- You are self-motivated, success oriented and demonstrated a collaborative, customer focused approach.
- You will be required to travel 50% of the time.
- You are required to have a valid US Driver’s License.
- You are able and willing to pass hospital vendor credentialing requirements – such as, but not limited to, drug screening, immunizations, training and background screening.
- You must be able to travel Monday through Friday for a minimum of two weeks at a time. Occasional weekend travel may be required.
- You are an excellent team player with outstanding communication skills.
