Data Center Technician

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Data Center Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our global data center infrastructure. This position requires regular domestic travel within the Austin metro area and occasional international travel to support global sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning of data center equipment.

  • Collaborate with network engineering, SRE, platform, manufacturing, and other teams to deliver infrastructure projects.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for physical infrastructure deployments in production and non-production environments.

  • Conduct site surveys, audits, migrations, upgrades, and capacity expansions.

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure all records are current.

  • Manage equipment inventory, asset tracking, and resource utilization.

  • Monitor data center health using DCIM and monitoring tools to optimize performance.

  • Maintain organized rack layouts, structured cabling, and proper labeling standards.

Travel Requirements:

  • Domestic: Frequent travel within the Austin metro area for on-site support and maintenance.

  • International: Occasional travel to global data center locations for installations and major projects.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in data center operations, infrastructure deployments, or related technical roles.

  • Strong understanding of network hardware, cabling standards, and physical infrastructure.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-demand environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and asset management.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
