We’re hiring a Senior Director, Compliance to build and lead our Compliance function at FloatMe. As our Senior Director, Compliance, you’ll set strategic priorities, stay knowledgeable and proactive in identifying regulatory updates in the environment we operate in, and ensure we enact changes and improvements. We’re a small, nimble team which means this role requires the flexibility to switch gears between tactical execution on the front line and strategic planning and execution. The ideal fit for this role has a proven track record of understanding GLBA, CCPA, ECOA, and other consumer financial regulations we fall under. We are looking for someone who is highly detail oriented, organized and passionate about compliance. This role reports to the VP, Finance. What You’ll Do

  • Develop, build, and operationalize our compliance program focused on product development, marketing, user experience, customer service, and security.

  • Manage compliance oversight including, but not limited to, Privacy (GLBA and CCPA/CPRA), Regulation Z, fair lending and ECOA, and state laws and regulations governing non-recourse cash advance products.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, engineering, etc.) and our external legal counsel to implement compliance risk systems.

  • Stay abreast of changes in regulatory compliance laws, federal and state rules, and regulations, and educate the team internally on necessary revisions needed on our product, marketing, etc..

  • Develop and maintain a centralized repository for compliance policy and procedure documentation to track and report progress on policy development work, maintain versioning, and approvals.

  • Review all proposed product and process changes to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Review all internal marketing and advertising to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Lead the annual compliance and fair lending risk assessment process.

  • Continuously review and document all policies and procedures for repeat use and draft new as applicable ensuring the team is educated on all changes.

  • Facilitate cross-functional vendor management processes to drive accountability and ensure compliance.

  • Own compliance training, decide if we should build our own training materials or purchase externally and track and report completion rates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a compliance role in banking or lending and/or risk management.

  • Experience and deep regulatory knowledge relevant for small consumer lending, depository accounts, and consumer credit.

  • Experience and deep knowledge of ECOA/Regulation B, GLBA, CCPA, and other regulatory requirements..

  • Experience working with product, engineering and marketing team members to establish compliance requirements and assist with implementing compliance driven product-related changes and marketing materials.

  • Experience with work management tools and team collaboration platforms - we utilize JIRA and Confluence.

  • Professional certifications, such as the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) is a plus

  • Results driven and forward thinking approach with ability to problem-solve complex issues to drive shared goals and outcomes.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to collaborate and excellent written and verbal communication skills
