Sales & Operations Lead – Austin, TX
Full-Time | Austin-based | $120-150K + Equity + Commission
The Mission
Glīd is rebuilding American logistics infrastructure through autonomous road-to-rail technology. We need an operator in Austin who can hunt deals, win government contracts, and execute field operations.
You'll build our Texas commercial pipeline, capture $2-5M in defense funding (SBIR/STTR), and manage customer deployments from demo to delivery. This is the whole stack — prospecting, closing, and operational execution.
What You'll Do
- Lead SBIR/STTR capture and write winning proposals
- Close commercial contracts with railroads, 3PLs, and industrial operators
- Execute field demos and customer pilots across Texas
- Build relationships with DoD innovation units and Texas economic development
- Provide hands-on technical support for vehicle deployments
Who You Are
- SBIR/STTR experience and sales/BD track record
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable with operational troubleshooting
- Mission-aligned – you believe in American manufacturing and resilient infrastructure
- Veteran strongly preferred (any branch, logistics/ops backgrounds especially relevant)
- Austin-based or willing to relocate
