About Glīd

Glīd is rebuilding American logistics infrastructure from the rail-head up.

Our patented road-to-rail ecosystem — GliderM (manned dual-mode vehicles), Rāden (autonomous platforms), and EZRA-1SIX (AI orchestration) synchronizes road and rail networks to unlock dormant infrastructure, streamline the first mile, and restore supply chain sovereignty.

We're veterans, engineers, and operators building technology that serves people and communities — not the other way around. Our work represents the ultimate act of nation-building: strengthening the logistics infrastructure that underpins prosperity, resilience, and sovereignty.

We don't do this work for exits or press releases. We do it because logistics infrastructure is foundational to everything else — and right now, America's is broken.

The Mission

We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join the Vehicle Engineering team, who will turn complex electromechanical systems into real, working vehicles.

Design, develop, and integrate systems that bring Glīd’s autonomous dual-mode vehicle platforms to market. Here you will work on early-stage development of complex systems that will create the foundation of Glīd’s present and future vehicle programs. This position plays a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards for quality, performance, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

Design

  • Drive design and development of electromechanical systems and components.

  • Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for manufacturing and fabrication partners.

  • Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and FEA simulations to ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.

Integration

  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems into vehicle platforms, collaborating cross functionally as required.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to define interface requirements, integration plans, and assembly processes.

  • Develop and validate integration procedures, create a system that supports continuous process improvement.

  • Execute hands-on component integration activities, including mechanical assembly, wiring and harness routing.

  • Support fabrication teams to develop production-friendly design approaches.

What We’re Looking For

  • BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related field.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience designing electromechanical systems into complex vehicles or industrial platforms.

  • Strong design background with solid CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, NX)

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with component integration, wiring harnesses, power systems, sensors, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Excellent cross-disciplinary collaboration skills and ability to lead technical integration efforts.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in heavy-vehicle systems, robotics, autonomous systems.

  • Familiarity with embedded controls, CAN bus, PLCs, sensors, and automation frameworks.

  • Exposure to rail-certified vehicle hardware, ruggedized electronics, and safety standards.

Why Join Glīd

At Glīd, you will help drive innovation in a mission-focused startup that is redefining freight logistics with autonomous, hybrid-powered vehicles. You will collaborate with a passionate team, contribute to real-world deployments, and impact the future of sustainable transportation.

A Note from Our Founder

"Logistics infrastructure isn't glamorous. It doesn't make headlines. But it's the foundation of everything — prosperity, sovereignty, and resilience.

At Glīd, we are not building a tech company that happens to touch logistics. We are rebuilding the infrastructure that makes America work. We're doing it with the precision and discipline of those who've served — whether in uniform, in their communities, or in the unglamorous work of building things that matter.

This role isn't for everyone. It's for someone who sees logistics as nation-building. Someone who understands that meaningful service takes many forms. Someone who is willing to build something that matters, even when it is hard.

If that's you — if you're ready to serve at the intersection of innovation, logistics, and national security — we'd be honored to have you on the team." - Kevin Damoa, Founder & CEO, Glīd

Glīd Technologies is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse team united by mission, excellence, and service.
