Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Engineer who operates across:
- experience design
- software architecture
This is not:
- a designer who codes
- an engineer with good taste
This is a product-minded technologist who can:
- conduct user research
- design pixel-perfect interfaces
- build production-grade systems
You are expected to operate at the level of an L5 engineer at top-tier companies.
This role is about ownership.
You will:
- take on ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces
- define both UX and system architecture
- translate strategy into shipped software
- shape how the product scales
You will operate at two levels:
Strategic
- user behavior
- product-market fit
- friction points
- system scalability
Implementation
- Figma design
- React/TypeScript frontend
- backend architecture

You will:
- mentor others

What You’ll Own
- End-to-end product ownership (discovery → launch → iteration)
- UX strategy + technical execution
- Scalable design system integrated with frontend
- Frontend platform standards (performance, accessibility, maintainability)
- Technical direction for product features
- Raising product quality and execution velocity
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UX discovery (interviews, analysis, journey mapping, prototyping)
- Translate research into interaction models and wireframes
- Design high-fidelity interfaces in Figma
- Build frontend systems in React + TypeScript
- Architect backend APIs and services
- Ensure performance, accessibility, responsiveness
- Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Business
- Lead technical design reviews
- Mentor engineers and designers
- Instrument product analytics
- Balance speed and scalability
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in product engineering / frontend / full-stack
- L5-level experience in high-performing orgs
- Deep expertise in:
- React
- TypeScript
- state management
- component systems
- React
- Backend architecture experience
- Strong UX foundation:
- research
- interaction design
- usability
- research
- Proficiency in Figma
- Proven track record shipping complex products
- Ability to operate in ambiguity
- Strong product intuition
- Experience mentoring and leading

Compensation
- Base Salary: $140,000 – $155,000
- Equity included
