About Glīd
Glīd Technologies is a sovereign mobility infrastructure company building US-made autonomous dual-mode road-to-rail vehicles and AI logistics orchestration software for commercial freight and defense applications. We are converting underutilized American rail into on-demand, resilient freight and defense mobility — dual-use by design, and built to defend American sovereign infrastructure.
Why Glīd, and Why Now
Winner of TechCrunch Disrupt 2025 Startup Battlefield.
Proprietary, patented dual-mode road-to-rail technology (US Patent 12,036,833).
Venture Backed
A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) serving both commercial and defense markets.
Early enough that this role shapes how the company operates — not just executes a playbook someone else wrote.
About the Role
This is a high-leverage generalist role at the center of Glīd’s Southern California operation — part growth, part capital, part program execution. You will sit inside the FORGE Program Office, report to the Program Office Lead, and support both our commercial freight and defense (DOW) lanes at once. On any given week you might build the dashboard that tells leadership which pipeline is moving, draft a section of a federal grant submission, run an SEO and LinkedIn report with real recommendations attached, and turn a rough internal draft into a polished, board-ready deck.
It is a role built for an ambitious early-career operator who wants range. You will not be siloed into a single function — you will touch analytics, go-to-market, marketing operations, non-dilutive funding, and executive communications, and you will be trusted to own outcomes end to end. The work is fast-moving and the priorities shift, so we are looking for someone who is organized, self-directed, and energized rather than rattled by ambiguity. Writing is the throughline of everything here: if you can think clearly and write clearly, you will thrive.
Because Glīd serves both commercial and defense customers, you will learn two very different motions — the commercial freight market and the federal/defense procurement and funding world — and become the person who can move fluently between them. We expect you to be strong out of the gate on analytics, marketing, and document craft, and we will deliberately invest in ramping you on the non-dilutive funding and federal-compliance side, which is the one area that takes time to learn.
What You’ll Do
Analytics & Reporting
Be the person who turns scattered data into a clear picture leadership can act on, across both the commercial and defense pipelines.
Build and maintain dashboards spanning the commercial freight pipeline and the defense/DOW program pipeline — a single, trusted source of truth.
Define and track KPIs across funnel stages, program milestones, and marketing performance; flag what is moving and what is stuck.
Produce recurring (weekly/monthly) reporting packages for the Program Office and leadership, with takeaways — not just charts.
Run ad-hoc analysis to answer specific strategic questions as they come up, and recommend a course of action.
Keep data clean and connected across the CRM, marketing tools, and program trackers.
Go-to-Market Support (Commercial & Defense)
Support how Glīd wins customers and partners across both lanes — from research to outreach to the materials that close.
Support GTM strategy and execution for commercial freight and defense (DOW) channels.
Build and maintain target account lists, ideal-customer-profile definitions, and prospect/partner research.
Support outbound campaigns and track outreach, response, and conversion metrics.
Coordinate with the BASTION defense team on DOW opportunities and with commercial leads on freight.
Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and follow-ups for customer, partner, and agency meetings.
Marketing & Growth Operations
Own the day-to-day marketing engine — the hands-on execution that builds Glīd’s presence and feeds the pipeline.
Own the SEO program: technical and on-page audits, keyword strategy, content optimization, and performance tracking tied to both lanes.
Own LinkedIn: content scheduling, analytics, engagement and follower-growth reporting, with recommendations on what to double down on.
Build and run a content calendar across channels; produce and refresh website copy, posts, and social content.
Create and maintain capability statements, one-pagers, and sell sheets for commercial and defense audiences.
Manage the marketing tool stack and report on which activities are actually driving the pipeline.
Non-Dilutive Funding
Help fund the mission without giving away the company — finding, qualifying, and writing for grants and other non-dilutive capital. (This is the area we will ramp you on deliberately.)
Maintain a living pipeline of grant and non-dilutive opportunities (SBIR/STTR, state/EDD, DOD, foundation, and economic-development sources).
Monitor solicitation portals (SAM.gov, Grants.gov, agency sites) and flag strong-fit opportunities with eligibility, requirements, and deadlines.
Draft, assemble, and format compliant submissions; coordinate internal contributors and hold deadlines.
Track awards, reporting obligations, and renewals.
Build a reusable library of boilerplate, past responses, and proof points so each submission gets faster and stronger.
Document & Deck Craft
Make sure everything that leaves the building looks as sharp as it reads.
Own the final formatting and production of decks, proposals, reports, and external collateral.
Maintain templates and enforce brand consistency across the company.
Turn rough drafts and raw data into clean, executive- and investor-ready deliverables.
What Success Looks Like
By the end of your first year, you will:
Own a reliable analytics and reporting cadence that leadership trusts and uses to make decisions across both lanes.
Run Glīd’s SEO, LinkedIn, and content operations independently, with measurable growth to show for it.
Have moved from shadowing to contributing real, written sections of non-dilutive funding submissions — and helped win at least one.
Be the go-to person for turning rough material into polished, on-brand deliverables under deadline.
Have introduced at least one meaningful process or AI-driven improvement that makes the team faster.
What You Bring
Required
Exceptional writing — clear, persuasive, well-structured, and adaptable in tone from a LinkedIn post to a federal proposal. This is the core of the role.
2–5 years in a relevant generalist role — operations, marketing, grants/proposals, consulting, product, or similar.
Analytical fluency: comfort turning data into narrative using tools such as Excel, SQL, and a BI/visualization tool (e.g., Tableau).
Hands-on marketing-operations skills: SEO fundamentals, social/LinkedIn analytics, and content production.
Fluency with modern AI tools and a genuine bias toward using them to work faster and better.
Strong project management and organization — able to juggle multiple workstreams and deadlines without dropping threads.
Self-direction and composure in a fast-moving startup where priorities shift.
Eligible to work onsite in Riverside, CA.
Preferred
Grant, proposal, or RFP writing experience.
Exposure to defense / govcon, mobility, logistics, or hard-tech.
Federal procurement, SAM.gov/Grants.gov, or SDVOSB familiarity.
An MBA or a degree in business, analytics, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Prior early-stage startup experience.
Veteran or military-affiliated background.
Who You’ll Work With
Meredith Isom, Program Office Lead — your direct manager, who sets your cadence, priorities, and development.
Jess Robertson, XO / Strategic Extension — your functional partner on growth and non-dilutive funding strategy.
The FORGE, CRUCIBLE, and BASTION teams, plus commercial freight and defense leads — you will be the connective tissue across them in SoCal.
Tools You’ll Use
Excel and SQL; a BI/visualization tool such as Tableau; a CRM and marketing platform (e.g., HubSpot); SEO and social-analytics tools; federal funding portals (SAM.gov, Grants.gov); modern AI assistants; and standard document/presentation software.
How You’ll Grow
This role is a launchpad. As you prove yourself across analytics, marketing operations, and funding, the path opens toward owning a function outright — growing into a Manager-level seat leading growth operations or the non-dilutive funding program as Glīd scales. You will gain rare, dual-market range across both commercial and defense, and you will help build the systems the company runs on, not just operate them.
What We Offer
Base salary: $80,000.
Equity: meaningful early-stage ownership through our employee stock option plan (ESOP).
Benefits: 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a 401(k) plan.
