What We’re Looking For

Hypergiant is seeking a few seasoned Senior Technical Project Managers with experience owning, managing, and delivering world-class experiences for clients in the Fortune 500. The ideal applicant has an appreciation for human-centered design, Artificial Intelligence and working with cross-functional teams in an Agile fashion. We are a rapidly growing company that’s been fortunate to partner with some of the largest organizations in the world, helping them capitalize on their strengths and create new competitive advantages in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Partner and translate high-level Product requirements (Epics) into actionable engineering tasks / user stories.
• Influence and facilitate the management of multiple teams for a program, each with varying degrees of maturity on both the Scrum and traditional Program Management scale.
• Lead planning, refinement, and release ceremonies for the engineering team.
• Assist teams in story writing, backlog maintenance, prioritization, and planning.
• Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones.
• TPMs will be working with our partners/clients on helping engineering teams drive the execution of the platform architecture as we transition over to a cloud and domain event-based architecture.

Required Experience

• 5-8 years successfully managing and delivering projects for large organizations while coordinating teams with a diverse suite of skills.
• Strong facilitation skills to drive cross-functional dependency mapping, tech solutioning, sizing activities, source refinement;
• Must have a sound technical understanding and experience establishing/enhancing processes.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies, allowing for flexibility in process.
• Project Management experience within software development, backend / API engineering teams.
• Experience with project management for mobile application development.
• Preferred: User identity, Media Streaming, or E-commerce domain experience ideal.
• AWS toolkit experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills to bring multi players/teams together.
• Clear communicator and facilitator.
• Bridge between business and technical teams.
• An uncanny ability to understand a project at its component level and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership.
• Excitement for learning and overcoming challenges.
• Ability to level-set trust with teams that want to work with you.
