We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, with a strong focus on wiring, cable fabrication, and control systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, and motivated to support reliable and efficient operations across equipment and processes. This is a full-time, onsite position based on our Austin, Texas HQ Campus and reports to the Electro-Mechanical Technician Supervisor
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, instruments, and control devices.
- Fabricate and assemble custom cables and wiring harnesses to specification.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform wiring for control panels, field devices, motors, sensors, and PLC systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems and instrumentation circuits.
- Calibrate and test instruments and sensors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain detailed documentation for wiring, cable layouts, and instrumentation setups.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement control system upgrades and modifications.
- Follow all safety protocols, company standards, and regulatory requirements related to electrical work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance or installation (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of wiring practices, control systems, and instrumentation devices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with PLC systems, sensors, and motor controls.
- Proficiency in cable fabrication, wiring, and harness assembly.
