SUMMARY

As a BACnet Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining BACnet-based systems that enable seamless communication between building automation devices and control systems. You will work closely with our engineering team to design and implement robust, scalable, and interoperable solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients across various industries.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain BACnet-compliant software applications and systems.
• Implement BACnet communication protocols to enable interoperability between building automation devices and control systems.
• Integrate BACnet-based solutions with existing building management systems (BMS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop firmware for BACnet-compatible devices.
• Develop custom drivers and interfaces to support communication with third-party BACnet devices.
• Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of BACnet-based systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in BACnet standards and technologies.
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal teams during the implementation and deployment of BACnet solutions.
• Document system architecture, design specifications, and implementation details.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and project planning meetings.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
• Solid understanding of BACnet protocol specifications and standards.
• Experience with BACnet stack development and implementation.
• Knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Prior experience in the building automation industry is preferred but not required.
