SUMMARY
The Data Analyst will work alongside other analysts and report directly to the Director of Operations. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis through stakeholder & customer engagement, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing, while operating as a Product Owner supporting the software development framework. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking, firsthand experience in integrating systems and data files, and be able to explain complex business concepts to technical stakeholders and non-technical stakeholders alike.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Data Science and stakeholders in the Transactional Services business unit to understand data requirements for various needs such as data pipeline development, automated reporting, analytics, and marketing campaign support.
- Utilize SQL skills to extract, clean, and transform large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability in the ETL pipeline.
- Perform comprehensive data validation and cleansing to maintain high data integrity and consistency in reports, modeling, and dashboards.
- Conduct indepth adhoc data analysis to identify trends, address specific business inquiries, and optimize performance.
- Proactively identify potential areas for business improvement, growth, and optimization through data analysis.
- Foster a datadriven analytics culture, seeking innovative ways to leverage data assets and drive actionable insights.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to propose and implement ETL process improvements, enhancing data collection, analysis, and reporting efficiency.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Demonstrated expertise in ETL development and maintenance, with a focus on data flow and transformation.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Proficient in writing SQL queries against product telemetry and business databases for analysis and visualization.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and reliability are prioritized.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics role driving significant business impact, including experience in ETL development.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, comfortable working with large, complex data sets.
- Proven experience diving deeply into applications and data sources to deliver meaningful insights and reports for business stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, vital for managing expectations and collaborating effectively with crossfunctional teams. Demonstrated ability to clearly present findings.
- Exceptional project management abilities, handling multiple projects concurrently, and meeting deadlines effectively. Strong selfsufficiency, capable of working independently.
- Ability to discuss ETL development and data analysis requirements with internal stakeholders, as well as collaborate closely with Data Science and developers from software and enterprise applications teams.
- An adaptive mindset, eager to stay up to date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proficiency in data wrangling using R or Python.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence software.
