QA Manager

SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring delivery of product releases that meet RealPage, Inc.’s standards for product quality. This manager coordinates and monitors the progress and final delivery of software projects through development, testing and deployment, working with other departments to meet commitments to clients and facilitate successful delivery of associated services with product release. The manager develops and applies highly effective team operating mechanisms to achieve the business objectives. This person is expected to continuously assess, and if necessary, redesign processes to ensure that they are repeatable, sustainable and scalable.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applies mastery of software quality practices to design, influence and drive quality and testability of products and services
- Scope of assignments is multiple diverse projects, covering a broad range of technologies and a high level of complexity
- Builds an internal and external network to leverage best practices and technologies for test automation
- Coaches and mentors others on test automation methods and techniques
- Coordinates technical dependencies with other teams
- Leads quality initiatives
- Participates in the definition of project objectives
- Quickly and reasonably provides LOEs, schedule and resource needs proposed objectives
- Key influencer or major technical decisions. Ensures the balance between long and short term trade-offs
- Influences organizational goals beyond a specific project
- Update senior management on project deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- BS in Business or Computer Science or equivalent related experience
- 10+ years direct experience as a QA Analyst/Engineer for major application integration and/or major application product release.
- Extensive experience with core software applications, including web and client/server applications.
- Must be able to work in front end and back end QA environment.
- Extensive experience in database testing – Oracle, Sybase and SQLServer.
- Experience creating quality strategies
- Must have extensive experience implementing, leading and influencing teams with quality best practices and tools
- Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must exhibit a highly organized approach to work.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and be able to work on multiple applications simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Must have knowledge in all QA methodologies and lifecycles, including solid experience with Agile Development Methodology
- Must be confident with high energy and a great passion for QA.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- 4+ years of direct hands-on experience developing automation scripts and functions using QTP or Any automation tool.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience with object oriented and 1 year of java script programming
- Minimum 3 years of working experience with programming language (Java, c-sharp)
- Minimum 3 years of working experience with web services testing for REST and SOAP.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience with Selenium/Webdriver.
- Minimum 1 year of testing message queue services like JMS.
- Minimum 1 year of front-end web application tools (Angular JS, NodeJs, Grunt, Jasmine, etc.)
- Minimum 1 year with build automation tool like Maven and Ant.
- Minimum 1 year with build management tool like Jenkins, Team Foundation Server, etc
- Minimum 1 year experience doing code reviews
- Application Lifecycle and Defect/Bug Management tools: Azure TFS and Jira
