The RealPage waste management solution, Smart Waste, is our premier IoT Sustainability solution focused on waste management, driving down costs, creating recycling programs, and promoting sustainability best practices for customers. We are seeking a skilled data analyst who will work closely with the Smart Waste product and development team to analyze data, solve customer issues, enhance our offerings, and support the continued growth of the RealPage Smart Waste offering.
This position will have excellent visibility across the Sustainability organization and will report to the Senior Director of Sustainability. Responsibilities include creating detailed analyses of customer waste data, generating custom reports – such as those around waste fullness, contamination, diversion, and missed pickups – and providing operational support for this growing line of business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with RealPage’s Smart Waste solution to create/update client scorecards that identify anomalies, save money and improve sustainability.
- Compare billing invoice and performance data against Smart Waste and AI tools to ensure customers are getting accurate data.
- Review system alerts, notifications, and auditing system to verify errors and alert customers to issues.
- If needed, be able to contact waste providers to resolve billing inaccuracies and help ensure customers have been billed appropriately.
- Maintain a daily task list to ensure that all system devices, sensors, and meters are accurately reporting.
- Be able to assist with implementation, setup, and configuration of the Smart Waste solution as needed for customers.
- Learn and apply to daily work sustainability-related techniques that promote recycling and minimize waste related issues.
- Assist with billing accuracy in various systems and help with the order management system to ensure that clients receive exceptional support and service.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Accounting, or related field is preferred, but may be substituted for a combination of 2-4 years’ worth of sustainability-related experience, accreditation and training.
- Advanced proficiency working with spreadsheets to perform functions such as pivot tables, lookups and advanced formulaic calculations.
- Experience with Microsoft tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Teams.
- Must possess strong problem-solving abilities and have an ability to use and interpret large datasets.
- Working knowledge of commercial waste services and sustainability processes and benchmarks such as those from GRESB and the EPA is preferred.
- TRUE Waste Certification desired, or expected to be attained, but not required.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are required as this position will be interacting with various departments within the company as well as interacting with clients and third-party partners on the phone, via chat (in Teams, Salesforce, etc.), and via email.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- There is no travel required for this position. Work Hours: Office hours that follow standard US time zones are expected. The US corporate headquarters of RealPage is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM central standard time (CST) US. The candidate is expected to be available for a standard shift falling within those hours. RealPage provides nighttime differential pay in accordance with this schedule.
