Job Summary
The Vice President of Sales will oversee the sales strategy and execution for both large and middle-market accounts, focusing on groups ranging from small to large enterprises. This individual will lead Medici’s efforts to secure new business through direct engagement with employers/plan sponsors and through the broker channel, developing relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, high-integrity leader with extensive experience in navigating complex healthcare sales environments. They will be highly skilled in relationship-building and strategic sales execution, with established relationships with brokers, companies, and influential players like Blue Cross Blue Shield. The ideal candidate will be passionate about transforming the healthcare system, providing innovative and affordable healthcare solutions, and working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for both large and middle market accounts, focusing on high-innovation and high-growth opportunities in Texas and beyond.
- Identify and target key customer segments and broker partners, formulating and implementing sales plans to achieve ambitious sales goals.
- Collaborate with marketing, data analytics, and finance teams to create compelling sales materials and campaigns, tailored to large and middle market customers.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with business partners, including brokers, payer executives (especially with Blue Cross Blue Shield and other key payers), consultants, and human resources leaders.
- Engage with C-suite executives (CEOs, CFOs, CHROs) to create and drive sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute a plan to build a high-performing sales team focused on both large and middle-market accounts, including recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of top-tier talent.
- Lead and support the sales team in closing deals, ensuring organizational sales success.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding market trends, pipeline status, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Clearly articulate and advocate for Medici’s innovative healthcare solutions, ensuring stakeholders understand the full value proposition.
- Collaborate with Account Management teams to ensure smooth customer implementation and satisfaction post-sale.
- Oversee RFP responses and manage the sales process for new business opportunities.
- Represent Medici’s brand across social media channels and other platforms to enhance visibility and attract new business.
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy.
- Collect feedback from brokers, customers, and payers to refine Medici’s service offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Represent Medici with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards at all times.
- 7+ years of demonstrated success selling health services or closely related solutions to large and middle market groups through brokers and direct engagements.
- Strong expertise in health insurance products, particularly self-funded solutions.
- Established relationships with brokers, consultants, and companies in Texas, including key players like Blue Cross Blue Shield, and a strong understanding of the regional healthcare landscape.
- Proven track record in developing and executing strategic sales plans, building high-performance sales teams, and managing complex sales cycles.
- Exceptional business acumen with outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of leading by example.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to track and manage sales pipelines.
- Understanding of digital marketing, including social media outreach, and how it ties into sales efforts.
- A graduate degree is preferred.
- Passionate about the healthcare industry and the transformation of health and wellness.
