No Scrubs is a the fastest, most affordable laundry delivery service that’s ever existed. Americans spend 50 billion hours per year on the chore (equivalent to 75,000 lifetimes!). It’s a perpetual chore that NoScrubs is making a bygone chore.

Previous laundry delivery services were limited by a) high cost b) slow turnaround and c) limited geographic scale. So the price point and geographic limitations made them not broadly applicable. Of course there are laundromats and delivery services, but they're all severely limited. No Scrubs is using decentralized laundry locations to offer a quality of service and price point on laundry delivery that has never been possible before. Our mission is to rid the world of the chore of laundry. If you’re up for the challenge and ride of your life, consider joining us.

We're at the ground floor startup stage. Founder/CEO (Matt, writing this👋) was previously cofounder/CEO of AdQuick.com (Zillow for billboards), worked at Amazon Flex, and was the ~20th employee at Instacart.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the directly responsible individual for customer growth. We need a leader to come in and drive the demand engine. Given the early stage, the main things we can guarantee are autonomy, independence and camaraderie.
  • You’ll work closely with CEO and other early team members to wrangle the massive scope of growth at an early stage
  • Prioritize, execute, track, and iterate on various growth experiments: paid, offline, scrappy, whacky – nothing’s off the table
  • Report learnings, metrics, needs, and ideas to the team for feedback, support, knowledge transfer, and riffing
  • Be pumped about being an individual contributor until we’re large enough to hire a team
  • Always be on the lookout for edges, new approaches, novel experiments to gain customers

Some backgrounds that make sense (not all required):

  • Consumer marketing experience
  • Start-up & technology experience
  • Paid media exposure and ideally expertise
  • Experience with a real world service or technology ideal (eg Uber, DoorDash, etc)
  • Entrepreneurial experience - you know first hand how much there is to do at a start-up
  • A spectrum of experience levels make sense. There is no spectrum on work ethic, hunger, sense of humor, tenacity - all of those must be 99th percentile+
  • Exhaustive exposure to marketing scopes and tactics: SEO, SEM, Paid, partnerships, affiliate, local, stunt, PR

Comp:

  • A variety of experiences could be a fit for this role. The highest priorities are ambition, versatility, positivity, and excellence
  • We’ll work with you to create a comp package you’re thrilled with. There will be a significant equity component. We use the structure borrowed from Mochary Method:
    • Discover the market compensation for the position (role and seniority). There are plenty of online compensation studies that show this. Market compensation is whatever a big company (Microsoft, Facebook, Google) is paying for this position.
    • Discover the amount of cash that the new team member would need to live comfortably (housing, food, transportation, child expenses, etc).
    • Equity vesting will be backloaded ala Amazon and Snapchat - 10/20/30/40 over 4 years. We only want people who expect to be at No Scrubs for a long time 🙂

We’re open to your home location, but you should be willing to come to Austin frequently.
