About the Position
Our Part-Time (Casual) Technicians travel to our customer’s location, whether it be their office, apartment, or home, to diagnose and repair their brakes. In this role, we are going to prioritize top-talent and are willing to pay a premium for consistent reliability and excellent workmanship - every single time.
In Austin, we are primarily looking to bolster our Saturday and Sunday workforce as they are some of our most in-demand days. There may be opportunities to do more work throughout the week itself, but weekend availability is necessary to be considered for this role today. We’re trying to partner with other independent mobile mechanics to send out some of the extra work we don’t have capacity for. Easy repairs (pads & rotors), good money.

Requirements
Part-Time (Casual) W2 position(s) available - flexible scheduling but will be primarily looking for help on the weekends!
We use a commission structure that pays $50 for pads, $25 for rotors, per axle, so $75 for pads & rotors on one axle, $150 for pads & rotors on both axles.
● You’ll be paid per job at the 167% commission rate, plus a $25 per-slot guarantee if the commission earnings for that pay period do not exceed the sum of the slot guarantees

At the end of each pay period, you’ll be paid the greater of:
Your total commission earnings, OR Your total slot guarantee earnings
Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit on Wednesdays

Must have insured, reliable, presentable transportation

• Must own all tools necessary to complete brake jobs on a wide variety of makes and models. To be eligible you must own a Diagnostic Scantool (for electronic parking brake applications) and a Torque Wrench.
• At least 5+ years of direct mechanic experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• ASE A5 Preferred, but not required
• A strong understanding and ability to repair/replace brake pads, rotors, drums, shoes, calipers on a variety of makes and models
• Pass a Background Check, Drug Test and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• High energy attitude and ability to effectively communicate with others

Job Type: Part-Time (Casual)
Pay: TBD - would expect most days to net you commissions totaling somewhere between $100-400 depending on the number of jobs you're available for!
Schedule:

• Day shift, primarily Saturday and/or Sunday (We schedule appointments from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Work Location: Mobile in greater Austin Metropolitan area
