Role / Responsibilities

The Lead Backend Engineer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of OpsLab’s server-side ecosystem. The primary responsibility is the development, deployment and maintenance of server-side logic and databases with a focus on low latency, scalability and being cloud-native. The primary language of development will be Kotlin. Specific responsibilities include:

● Managing user authentication

● Building secure data pipelines for a variety of user workflows

● Maintaining app deployment and CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

● 3+ years of experience with Spring framework and Java.

● 2+ years of writing server-side enterprise software

● 1+ year of experience with AWS

● 1+ year of experience with PostgreSQL

Other considerations

Due to the need to work on DoD projects, we only consider applications from US citizens and permanent residents. Currently, we are unable to sponsor visas. As the role is 100% remote, the candidate can be based anywhere in the US with the option to work at our Austin office.
