Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Planner/Buyer to join our team. You will be responsible for efficiently procuring materials and supplies crucial to our operations. Your expertise in planning, forecasting, and advanced Excel proficiency will be vital in optimizing procurement processes and maintaining a seamless supply flow.

Responsibilities:

• Source requested products and services for all departments while considering planning requirements.
• Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues.
• Prepare and issue POs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery, proactively resolving any delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, inventory levels, and planning data.
• Analyze demand patterns and consumption trends to optimize inventory levels.
• Develop effective planning strategies to align procurement activities with production plans and forecasted demand.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination of procurement and production activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements to proactively identify opportunities and risks.

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of procurement experience in medical device, biotech, or semiconductor industries.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Strong data analysis and forecasting skills for informed decision-making, trend identification, and effective planning.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros) for data manipulation and reporting.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential supply chain issues.
