Information Technology Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Administrator to join our dynamic team and support the organization’s technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with network as well as end-user support including a proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing IT infrastructure. As an IT Administrator at Paradromics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's technology environment, supporting end users, and ensuring data security. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting, repairs, and software installations on employee devices in a timely and professional manner
- Provisioning computers and software for new or existing users
- Serve as administrator for various systems to create, modify, and deactivate user accounts, manage permissions, and ensure proper access control to company resources
- Support end users as needed on both Google and Office 365 Suites
- Provide after-hours support as needed
- Manage and maintain the company’s network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other hardware to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for all corporate users
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to support the operational needs of the organization
- Maintain and enforce security and backup strategies/policies
- Manage software updates, patches, and system upgrades to keep all systems up-to-date and secure
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage procurement as needed
- Interact with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness
- Assist with building and facility management requests, including the buildout of new facilities
- Collaborate with team members on various IT projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, preferred
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as an IT Administrator or similar role
- Experience in the administration of Google Suite and Microsoft 365 Suite
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, systems administration, and cybersecurity
- Strong technical skills, with proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues
- Experience supporting computer systems tied to scientific and production equipment and machinery
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change quickly with a willingness to learn new technical skills
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security +, and VMware Certified Professional are a plus
