ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking graduates with a life sciences or health-related background to join our Call Centre team, which is dedicated to supporting global clinical research initiatives. In this role, you will connect with English-speaking patients worldwide with specific health conditions who have expressed interest in participating in clinical trials. Your responsibilities will include discussing trial opportunities, conducting eligibility screenings, and providing information to help patients make informed decisions about clinical trial participation.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Engage with patients who have expressed interest in clinical trials, providing clear, compassionate information regarding study requirements
• Discuss available clinical trial opportunities with patients, carrying out detailed eligibility screenings while ensuring patients feel well-informed and at ease
• Efficiently transfer eligible patients to clinics or research sites, ensuring clear, professional communication with site staff to facilitate a seamless and timely handover
• Demonstrate a solution-driven approach by utilizing creative problem-solving techniques to continuously enhance the patient's experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree or Diploma or a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a life sciences, healthcare, or paramedic field. Previous Clinical research-related experience is advantageous
• Patient/Client-facing experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of chronic medical conditions and therapeutic options
• A successful candidate should exhibit active listening, empathy, and sensitivity in patient and interpersonal interactions
• Neutral English accent and professional telephone etiquette
• Proficient computer skills
• Clear criminal record, acceptable credit profile and excellent references
• Willingness to work extended USA Central Standard Time hours

Operational Working Hours

• Monday to Friday 19:30 – 05:00 SAST (20:30 – 06:00 after daylight savings time)
