Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Counsel located in Cape Town, CA. The Legal Counsel will provide expert legal guidance on a broad range of matters, including regulatory compliance, contracts, and corporate governance. They will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, managing legal risks, and ensuring that the organization's operations meet regulatory and legal standards. Additionally, the Legal Counsel will collaborate with internal teams to address legal issues, conduct legal research, and support risk management strategies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal agreements
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, particularly those related to the healthcare or clinical trial industry
• Strong research and analytical skills to assess legal risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws
• Ability to provide sound legal advice to senior leadership and diverse internal teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in presenting legal concepts clearly
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Experience navigating legal frameworks within the clinical trial or healthcare sector is a plus
• Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent) and admission to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
