Clariness is looking for a Project Management Team Lead - Creative Services (f/m/d) based in Berlin, Hamburg, London or Cape Town.

About the role:

As a Project Management Team Lead – Creative Services, you’ll combine hands-on project management with people leadership, managing high-profile client projects while leading and developing a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators.

You’ll work closely with our Creative Services and SEA teams to deliver high-quality work for our clients, while also driving team development, improving processes and finding new ways of working.


As a Project Management Team Lead - Creative Services, you would be responsible for:

  • Lead, coach and support a pod of Project Managers and Project Coordinators across different levels of seniority.
  • Take direct responsibility for your own portfolio of high-profile client projects and challenging studies, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish.
  • Manage project timelines, priorities, resources, risks and quality across multiple projects.
  • Work closely with Creative Services teams, including Graphics, Copywriters and Web, as well as the SEA team, to coordinate successful project delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing expectations, providing clear communication and confidently addressing challenges or pushing back where required.
  • Balance the demands of project delivery and people management, ensuring neither is compromised.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, performance discussions and development conversations with your direct reports.
  • Support team members with their development, progression and performance, including addressing performance concerns where necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, ways of working and team efficiency.
  • Drive and implement process improvements across the team, combining established approaches with new technologies and AI tools.
  • Support the development of a high-performing, collaborative and engaged PMO team.
  • Work closely with the wider leadership team to align priorities and continuously improve how we deliver for our clients.

We would like you to have:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within a creative services agency, patient recruitment organisation or a similar client-facing environment.
  • Previous experience in a senior Project Manager, Project Management Team Lead or Team Manager role.
  • Proven direct line management experience – including performance management, coaching, development and supporting career progression.
  • Strong experience managing multiple projects, competing priorities, timelines and resources in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with creative services or multidisciplinary teams, such as Graphics, Copy, Web or Digital.
  • Strong client governance and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to manage expectations and push back when required.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and with clients.
  • A structured, organised and solution-oriented approach to project delivery.
  • An interest in using AI and new technologies to improve project management and creative service delivery.
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
