Unchained offers a suite of bitcoin financial services built on top of a unique collaborative custody model. These include: buying and selling bitcoin directly to and from cold storage, bitcoin retirement accounts, bitcoin-backed loans, concierge services to educate clients on best security practices, and cold storage solutions for institutions and other businesses.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Unchained is seeking to grow our team by bringing on board a skilled and motivated Information Technology (IT) Engineer. In this position, you will be in charge of designing, developing, and maintaining systems and networks for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to think critically to identify and resolve potential issues.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Implement and automate a robust patch management strategy to ensure timely identification, testing, and deployment of critical security patches and software updates across a hybrid environment of remote workers, on a diverse fleet of Windows, MacOS, and Linux devices
• Participate in vendor selection, implement, and automate a Mobile Device Management (MDM) / Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) strategy to enforce security policies, monitor device compliance, and ensure data protection
• Lead the development and administration of WordPress and Webflow infrastructure, ensuring robust performance, security, and alignment with our digital content strategies
• Design and implement a Marketing infrastructure and environment strategy to improve scalability and to streamline testing and deployment
• Manage the relationship with professional service vendors to deploy firmware updates and improvements to physical office networking infrastructure
• Conduct system administration duties for self-hosted and third-party applications as needs are identified, including managing and automating integrations
• Provide ad-hoc Tier II/Tier III technical support on complex issues that require your expertise
• Research and evaluate new technologies and configurations to satisfy evolving organizational requirements as we scale
• Support knowledge management by creating and maintaining documentation of system designs and configurations
  

WHO YOU ARE:

• You have 5+ years of experience in information technology, with a strong understanding of IT service management frameworks and best practices
• You are well experienced with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to write custom scripts to automate IT and security tasks
• You’re a self-starter who can communicate recommendations and escalate decisions as needed
• You have demonstrated experience rolling out and managing MDM / UEM solutions, as well as modern VPN solutions
• You have experience with IT ticketing systems and support workflows
• You have attention to detail in building out and documenting efficient processes
