The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced growth expert to join our brand management and growth marketing teams. This remote role reports to the CMO and focuses on growing customer acquisition, reducing customer acquisition costs, and delivering a sustainable return on ad spend.

This role is responsible for aligning brand, marketing, product, pricing, and funnel efforts, and the conversion funnel to growth marketing targets and overall business objectives. It requires close collaboration and coordination with various teams across the organization to achieve those goals.

Our ideal candidate will be strong in the following areas:

  • Full funnel growth - established history of meeting and exceeding goals across all touchpoints for new customer acquisition, including conversion volume, conversion rate improvement, CAC, AOV, and ROAS.
  • Cross-functional strategic planning - proven ability to develop and execute complex comprehensive strategies across all growth functions and aligned to company goals
  • Change agent - innovator with a fixer mindset that brings the clarity, energy, and bold ideas needed to break down silos and challenge legacy thinking
  • Acquisition expert - experience establishing a multi-channel, best-in-class acquisition engine across SEO, LLM search, SEM, social, affiliate, lead nurturing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Test and learn mindset - leverage market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities, build hypotheses, coordinate tests, and deliver results.
  • Research-obsessed - constantly seeking to understand our customer, competition, and industry trends.
  • Analytics enthusiast - data-driven with a command of growth analytics, customer research, attribution modeling, and funnel and pricing analysis
  • Product collaboration - demonstrated ability to partner closely with growth product teams
  • Strong communicator - marketing plans, progress, and results to stakeholders and the executive team with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Leader and coach - demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and guiding a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence

Responsibilities

This position has four primary areas of responsibility within the brand management team and across the broader organization.

  1. Growth Strategy & Planning
  • Develop, implement and drive the customer acquisition and growth strategy to meet and exceed customer acquisition, CAC efficiency, and ROAS goals.
  • Research our industry including market analysis, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform and support growth strategy and acquisition efforts.
  • Evolve our acquisition engine across SEO, LLM search, paid media, affiliate partnerships, email nurturing, conversion optimization, and pricing and packaging.
  • Identify and scale new, efficient growth channels to reduce reliance on search-based traffic sources.
  1. Execution & Optimization
  • Oversee the full customer acquisition journey to ensure a consistent experience across all touchpoints across marketing channels, email nurturing, website, funnel, and checkout.
  • Lead ongoing experimentation across landing pages, funnels, offers, and pricing to improve conversion rates, CAC, AOV, and ROAS.
  • Improve and expand our measurement and attribution (i.e., Tableau, MMM, MTA, brand trackers) to ensure proper analysis and optimization across brand and marketing efforts.
  • Help establish and define the marketing and product roadmaps to deliver consistent wins across channel diversification, conversion, and revenue optimization.
  1. Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team across growth disciplines, elevating and expanding their strategic capabilities and executional excellence.
  • Foster an action-oriented, test-and-learn culture that provides clear strategic guides and direction needed for clear ownership and accountability.
  • Coordinate with team leads to hit and exceed their targets and goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Product, Technology, Design, Data, and Finance teams to align on shared goals and strategic priorities.
  1. Financial & Performance Accountability
  • Coordinate with leaders across the executive team, growth team, and finance to establish goals and set budgets.
  • Leverage data analytics, research, and performance analysis to identify opportunities, develop actionable insights, and implement continuous improvements to drive results.
  • Consistently meet and exceed goals for new customer acquisition across conversion volumes, CAC, AOV, and ROAS.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in growth marketing or related roles with 8+ years in management roles.
  • Strong track record of hitting growth and efficiency targets across diverse channels.
  • Strong leader with experience as a change agent for high-performing acquisition and growth marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to communicate, collaborate, and partner with key stakeholders and leaders across the organization to develop and execute the growth marketing strategy.
  • An experimentation framework that can deliver consistent wins and improvements to conversion and revenue.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and experience with data-driven growth marketing tools.
  • Entrepreneurial and enthusiastic with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Experience in high-velocity environments, ideally at the post-startup, pre-public stage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Business intelligence and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Understanding of LTV expansion and retention best practices.
  • MacOS and G-Workspace knowledge is a plus!
