SOTAOG is building production-grade, customer-facing SaaS systems in the energy domain. We’re looking for an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect who can own our cloud architecture end-to-end, set strong governance, and ensure reliability at scale. A full stack Web Development background is important—you should be comfortable collaborating with product engineers and making practical architecture decisions.

Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture Ownership

• Design and implement a robust AWS multi-account strategy (Prod / Staging / Dev)
• Own infrastructure architecture for ECS/Fargate-based services
• Define the long-term cloud roadmap aligned with company growth
• Document and maintain clear system architecture diagrams
  

Infrastructure Governance

• Establish Terraform workflow standards (plan → review → approval → apply)
• Implement strict production change management processes
• Enforce least-privilege IAM policies
• Reduce blast radius and eliminate risk of accidental production disruption
  

Production Reliability

• Harden VPC architecture (subnets, NAT, routing, security groups)
• Ensure high availability configuration for ECS, ALB, CloudFront, Route53
• Implement monitoring and alerting standards (CloudWatch, logs, alarms)
• Define incident response protocol
• Lead disaster recovery and backup strategy
  

Scalability & Optimization

• Improve system resilience and fault tolerance
• Design auto-scaling strategy
• Lead AWS cost optimization initiatives
• Prepare infrastructure for enterprise-scale growth
  

Leadership & Collaboration

• Review infrastructure PRs and production changes
• Mentor developers on AWS best practices
• Serve as the primary AWS technical authority
  

Required Experience

• 5–8 years overall experience with a Web Development background
• 5+ years hands-on AWS architecture experience
• Experience managing production SaaS systems with active customers
• Strong understanding of high-availability and fault-tolerant design
• Deep expertise in:
• ECS / Fargate
• VPC networking
• Route53
• CloudFront
• IAM & security best practices
• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
